Google
Mobile Ads.
Android.

1. Scope
This policy explains how AppWatcher — Ad Investigator, package com.iaraby.guard, handles data when it is used to investigate the likely source of an intrusive pop-up ad on Android.
2. Local investigation data
After the user grants Android Usage Access, AppWatcher locally reads foreground events from the selected time window. It may also read an app's display name, package name, foreground times, install source, install/update dates, system-app status, launcher visibility, and requested permissions.
This information is used only to rank candidates and explain the evidence. AppWatcher does not send app names, package names, usage events, or incident history to our server or an AI service.
Incident history is stored only on the device and limited to 20 incidents or 7 days, whichever is smaller. Users can delete an incident or clear all history inside the app.
3. Advertising and Google services
AppWatcher uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to show one native ad below non-empty results. Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) requests consent or presents privacy choices when required.
According to Google's disclosure, Google may collect the IP address, which may estimate approximate location, product interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Google states that this data is encrypted in transit. AppWatcher does not provide app-usage history or the package inventory to Mobile Ads.
4. Permissions and access
- Usage Access: reads recent foreground events after the user opts in and can be revoked in Android settings.
- Request package deletion: opens Android's official confirmation flow and never removes another app automatically.
- Internet: used for Google's consent and ad services. Local investigations work offline.
5. Children's privacy
AppWatcher is not designed specifically for children and does not ask users to create an account or enter personal information.
6. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app or third-party services change. Contact: karam.araby@gmail.com.
